Palm Tree Inn As I was taking this photograph, a man emerged from one of the motel rooms and asked if I was the police. I said no, but he seemed skeptical. He walked away, muttering and shaking his head back and forth - clearly disgusted with his his morning. Behind the motel sign, a Wrangler jeans ad promises, in Spanish, "everlasting love." Personally, I have found love to be spurious. Amor Spurioso. Betrayal soon follows love. Better to pin your hopes on winning the lottery. Just down the road is a sign for what must be the oldest trailer court in America. Very pleasant Indian accent on phone. |
