Located in the northeast area of San Jose between Coyote Creek and the Diablo Range foothills, Berryessa is a comfortable, middle-class suburban neighborhood. The single-family homes that make up the majority of the real estate market are home to members of the diverse community that includes Filipino, Hispanic, Chinese, Vietnamese and Caucasian Americans. The median home price for this nicely developed area of San Jose, which borders on Milpitas, is $447,500. Much of Berryessa is made up of comfortable, traditionally designed neighborhoods, but there are larger estate-style homes up along the foothills that offer expansive city views and are available for prices much more affordable than other areas of Santa Clara County.
