Yu Xin Ballet School offers 8 levels of children’s ballet classes, open Adult ballet, Character, Pointe and Partnering. The children’s program follows American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum, a program that embraces sound ballet principles and incorporates elements of the French, Italian and Russian schools of training.

Yu Xin formerly danced for American Ballet Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Shanghai Ballet in China. He served as Ballet Master with Ballet San Jose School and taught Master Classes for Ballet San Jose Company, Stanford University, Ballet Tech School (former Elliot Feld School) in NYC. He believes in giving younger generations the skills to dance professionally and is also excited to create opportunities for anybody who would like to dance.

Since 2007, the studio has been able to give individualized attention to its students with small, structured classes. The classes teach students how to use their bodies correctly, focusing on kinetics and coordination, as well as anatomy and proper body alignment. Artistically, the classes strive to provide students with a rich knowledge of classical ballet technique and the ability to adapt to all styles and techniques of dance. Yu Xin Ballet School produces an annual performance opportunity each spring featuring adults and children dancing some of the most loved ballet classics and Balanchine ballets as well as Yu Xin’s own choreography.

Most of the classes are taught in Mountain View, however Yu Xin Studio has three satellite locations in the South Bay to better accommodate commuters. These classes are available in Palo Alto, Cupertino and San Jose.
