Located in an airy eight-hundred square foot space on the corner of Baker and McAllister, Workshop offers affordable DIY classes to the public, taught by many of the fabulous, creative folks from the Indie Mart, local designers, and of course, Kelly Malone. Classes range from the single class for the commitment-phobics, to the more detailed, multi-day classes for those truly desiring to learn their craft. Workshop is equipped with a complete silk screening facility, sewing machines, button machines,and lots of tools for cutting, printing, building, and making. Workshop also offers a library stocked with how-to books, design books, and old magazines to turn the light bulb over your head to ON.



Workshop offers open studio hours by appointment:

* Sunday from 7pm – 11pm

If you have taken a sewing or screening class at Workshop, then you are welcome to take advantage of this open studio time. Fee for studio time is $10 per hour.
Workshop offers the following equipment for screen printing:
* entire studio space
* (1) X-Vactor Digital Vacuum Exposure Unit 25×36″
* (1) 2 Color 1 Station Screen Printing “Silver Press”
* (2) table top clamp screening stations
* (1) flash dryer
* (2) large printing tables
* (1) hanging rack for fabric, t-shirts, etc.
* (1) 15″ scoop coater
* various size screens (mesh counts 230)
* various size squeegees
* large sink w/ spray hose for cleaning screens
* emulsion – autosol 2000

NO drying racks for paper yet.

We also have eight sewing machines that are eager and waiting for you to use for alterations, curtains and whatever projects you can dig up! You can use our creative space for whatever projects you have in mind—painting, drawing, clothing reconstruction, jewelry making, screen printing, stenciling…really whatever you can think of! we have a large space with comfy nooks, table space, tools, and an inspiration library you can comb for ideas. so if your apartment is too tiny for your crafty projects or your roomies are tired of you spilling rubber cement on the coffee table, come complete your projects in workshop. there is always a workshop staff member on hand during studio hours to answer questions.
