Urban Schoolhouse - Openings for 2009-2010

Urban Schoolhouse is a newly established, non-profit school located at 889 Warfield Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610. We are committed to personalized and inclusive education for children
and their families in a nurturing, homelike environment.

We provide:
- A healthy, nourishing, and safe environment
- A learning environment where each child develops at his/her own pace
- A low child-to-adult ratio (6:1) in a mixed age classroom (up to 5 years old) with a maximum class size of 12 children

We promote:
- A supportive and mutually respectful community for children, parents/legal guardians, and teachers/educators through interdependent relationships and education
- The emotional growth and development of children and adults, through encouragement, compassionate communication, and conflict resolution
