Description
Dipti Mathur is a molecular biologist and a collector of contemporary Indian art. Her ongoing interests lie in working with groups in India on the development of sustainable environmental policies, bridging the digital divide, and the preservation of eroding visual art traditions. She also works with organizations in the US on promoting a broader cross-cultural understanding of contemporary Indian art. This is part of the San Jose Museum of Art's new series of Lunchtime Lectures. The free lectures will take place on the first Wednesday of the month from noon to 1pm through May 4. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch into the Wendel Education Center during the talk. Cafe, Too! at the Museum will also offer a selection of box lunches for purchase on lecture days. Admission to the lectures is free; regular Museum admission applies to the galleries.More Info
