By 1965, gingerbread City Hall was a memory. San Antonio Street still bisected Plaza Park, but in time the two halves of the park would become one, and San Antonio Street would become a "walkway" on the east side of the park - Paseo de San Antonio. The small white building in the south end of The Plaza is the USO Hospitality House (now gone).

The Civic Auditorium (bottom left) and Sainte Claire Hotel (bottom right) are prominent.
