The Greyhound Bus Station on the corner of Post and Almaden Ave.
(El Dorado and Orchard Streets O so many years ago).

At this very location stood Gillispie's Planing Mill, described by Leo Sullivan,
". . . The rickety walls of the Mill vibrated, quivered and shook almost as violently as our modern day shimmy dancers. The sawdusty old structure with its adjunct lumber yard, held many thrills for us kids. A favorite was the huge contraption Gillispie used to transport logs, mostly eucalyptus, to his machines for milling."

"The unusual feature of this land dreadnaught (sic) was the enormous rear wooden wheels at least 10 to 12 feet high. The rig could handle any size "stick." Like the flying trapese (sic), it flew Gillispie's logs with the greatest of ease."
