The path had taken a twisted turn to the right, around a corner, and out a door to the outside of the building. Rather than indicating this with a nice big sign with bold letters - something that you could actually see, the city chose the sign you see in the photograph - the tiny sign.

Then, instead of putting the tiny sign on the main path of the McEnery Great Hall, they put it around a corner nearly out of sight. The next step would have been to guard the door with a dog.

When I discovered this sign, I felt much like a 19th century explorer would have upon discovering one of the lost tributaries of the Nile. I christened this nook Erics Niche. But, there was no time for standing about bruiting over my success. It was time to mush on.
