When San Jose's New City Hall triumphantly emerges from the ashes of the old Victorians that once stood on 4th and 5th Streets, San Joseans will be confronted with a beloved San Jose icon--none other than Quetzalcoatl--the Plumed Serpent.

Plans are well under way to move the blood-lusting beast from his dusty traffic island in the Plaza---to the lobby of New City Hall. Pictured above is an artist's rendition, depicting powerful legislators wending up the stairways of the glass dome. And Quetzy standing guard, or perhaps seeking out virgins, and asking ominous questions, "What...is your favorite color?" Blue, I mean red.
