Alviso Slough. Two shrimp boats are tied up in front of the South Bay Yacht Club. Grass and reeds have enveloped what was once a wide waterway inhabited by schooner and yacht. Fresh water from the San Jose water treatment facility has greatly contributed to the advance of reed - better that than raw sewage I reckon. Dredging is economically and environmentally verboten. |
