UCSC Theater Arts Center

About

The Theater Arts Center (formerly Performing Arts, in the center of campus off Meyer Drive ) is the setting for a year-round program of drama, dance, and special events. Facilities include the 535-seat Mainstage, the 231-seat Second Stage, the recently completed 400-seat Media Theater, as well as a large Experimental Theater. The Theater Arts Department, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Performing Arts Office, and the UCSC Ticket Office are all located in the facility.


Driving Directions
From the North: Take Hwy 17 South (I-880), to Hwy 1 North to Santa Cruz. Continue on Hwy 1 North which will turn into Mission Street. Take Mission Street to Bay Street. Turn North on Bay up to High Street. Turn left on High Street which changes in name to Empire Grade (do not go into UCSC's Main Entrance). Proceed up Empire Grade and turn right on Heller (through UCSC's "West Entrance"). Go four stop signs and turn right on Meyer.

From the South: Take Hwy 1 North to Santa Cruz. Continue on Hwy 1 North which will turn into Mission Street. Take Mission Street to Bay Street. Turn North on Bay up to High Street. Turn left on High Street which changes in name to Empire Grade (do not go into UCaSC's Main Entrance). Proceed up Empire Grade and turn right on Heller (through UCSC's "West Entrance").
