Description
The Walt Disney Family Museum is proud to present Transformations: Creativity from the Inside Out, a curated collection featuring local artists from three Bay Area non-profits: Abilities United, The Arc San Francisco, and NIAD Art Center. Responding to Pinocchio’s metamorphosis from wooden puppet to real boy, featured artists work in a variety of media to represent personal as well as universal transformations—featured artists worked in a variety of media to represent personal as well as universal transformations. Seasons change, people age, and emotions are in flux. The exhibition takes precedent from the vision of The Walt Disney Family Museum’s founder, Diane Disney Miller, who championed arts access as a vital component of the museum’s commitment to community engagement. This exhibition will be on view in the lower lobby and is presented in conjunction with Wish Upon a Star: The Art of Pinocchio.
The installation will be on view from September 21 through December 5, 2016
