At The Vintage Store, we are a consignment-style boutique located on the Westside, in the Swift Street Courtyard. THE VINTAGE STORE brings you a finely-tuned collection of quality old and new vintage garments and accessories in excellent condition. Because of our Santa Cruz location, we are able to offer beautiful and elegant clothing for much less than you would pay in San Francisco or other locations, without the commute. We can show you how to mix new and old pieces with favorites from your own closet to create fresh, modern looks that accentuate your own personality. Look like YOU, but BETTER.

So what is VINTAGE anyway?­­

If it's not currently available in the stores, it's vintage! Thousands of fabulous styles are created every year. It is always in the manufacturers and department stores best interest to keep you on your toes buying new things every season. No problem with that, new clothes are fun! But just because something isn't being sold this season, doesn't mean it is "out of style"! NO WAY! Your good taste last year, or 10 years ago, didn't just disappear because the seasons changed!

At THE VINTAGE STORE, we source 90% of our garments locally. We also pay lots of nice TAXES locally, employ locally, and donate hundreds of garments locally. (to THE DAISY on 41st avenue, a local shop that raises money for people living with cancer and to the local homeless shelter, and Valley Churches United).

Many, many clothing companies are having their clothing "made in China". We seek clothing "made in America" for two reasons. Buying things made here keeps jobs and money here in the U.S., and much of what is "made in China" is made by child and slave labor. I will have more about this in future updates.
