Description
When The Soundtrack of Our Lives first emerged from the ashes of their Stooges-inspired punk band Union Carbide Productions in the mid-90s, they seemed to be Sweden's answer to Oasis. No longer a punk outfit, TSOOL wrote 60s psychedelic rock songs that were totally modern, not retro, much like the Brit-pop bands were doing at that time. It took them a while to hit their stride, but they recorded their best album, Behind the Music, in 2002. Two years later they scored their biggest single, "Bigtime," thanks to, of all things, Wrestlemania 21, for which it was the official theme song. - Aaron Carnes sanjose.com
