Spider veins are miniscule blood vessels, or capillaries that form in clusters just beneath the skin’s surface. They are especially visible in those who have fair or ruddy complexions. Spider veins typically appear as pink to red lines and can occur on the legs as well as the face. Spider veins tend to persist and often worsen over time without treatment.
