Description
Oakland, CA punk/pop/alternative band The Matches reform for the ten-year anniversary of the Epitaph Records release of their first album E. Von Dahl Killed the Locals, which garnered the band international attention. In addition to their subsequent two full length albums released on Epitaph, the band's legacy is still largely based on the success of their guerrilla promotion of a fresh and self-sufficient scene of largely high school and college-aged bands and fans in the East Bay, that fostered a thriving art-centric punk and alternative rock scene.
