Description
George is a man consumed with preserving and documenting the dying languages of far-flung cultures. Closer to home, though, language is failing him. He doesn’t know what to say to his wife, Mary, to keep her from leaving him, and he doesn’t recognize the deep feelings that his lab assistant, Emma, has for him. Meanwhile, in his lab are Alta and Resten, the last two speakers of a dying tongue. The couple's profanity-laced spats are solely in English, though, since, as they say, "English is the language of anger... Say mean, hateful, ugly thing - this is what English is perfect for!" George may be one of the world's foremost experts, but can he find the words to say what's in his heart?
