Description
The San Jose bred Doobie Brothers are in their fifth decade of commercializing a sound that is rooted in the blues and American roots music. In the 1970s, their albums routinely went platinum, including Minute by Minute, which contained the hit, What a Fool Believes The group broke up in 1981, but couldn't resist the reunion urge, and has been gigging for more than 20 years. With the death of drummer Michael Hossack in March, the core band is now down to three members and includes Santa Cruz–born steel guitarist John McFee.
