Description
The Devils of Loudun play technical death metal with a symphonic twist--approaching their fast, intricate and brutal arrangements in the same manner a conductor approaches his orchestra. However, while their music may be challenging to play, it is not overtly inaccessible (at least for those who don’t mind blast beats). Songs like "Born of Science" and "Guise of the Deceiver" present grand imagery along with the music. "Guise of the Deceiver," for example, carries a mystical and exotic sound, and "Born of Science" has elements of classic horror soundtracks. The band has an ability to tell fantastical stories in their songs, and that alone deserves a listen.
