About
The David Brower Center is an elegant green building in Downtown Berkeley that inspires, sustains and brings together people committed to environmental and social action. The Center offers educational and arts programs, stunning conference and event facilities and high-quality office space.
Our building is state-of-the-art and LEED Platinum rated, elegant and naturally lit with a theater, meeting rooms, and outdoor terrace space. The space is beautiful, accented with art and sunlight, and buzzing with activity in the heart of downtown Berkeley.
The Center has been recognized with numerous awards from the US Green Building Council to ABAG’s Urban Design Award, to the San Francisco Business Times’ Real Estate Deal of the Year. Our Energy Star rating is 99 out of 100, and we are at the cutting edge of every sustainable building practice from rainwater recycling to air quality to innovative heating and cooling.
There is simply no other place like this—in addition to hosting the greenest meeting space in the Bay Area, we are home to the Hazel Wolf Art Gallery and over 30 environmental and social action groups, making us a headquarters for ecological change in the Bay Area. In honor of our grassroots, we offer a 40% discount to nonprofit rental clients.
