The California Sports Center has agreed to operate two pools for the City of San Jose once again this year. The downtown Rotary Ryland Pool at 421 N. First Street (near Taylor), and the Fair Swim Center at 1350 Bacchus Dr (just off McLaughlin Blvd. between Story and Tully Rd’s.) Without the California Sports Center’s involvement, the City of San Jose pools would be reduced to only two throughout the entire city. By comparison, the City of Sunnyvale, ¼ the size of San Jose, operates 5 summer pools and the year round pool at Fremont High School (this pool is operated by California Sports Center). This partnership with San Jose is a classic example of a perfect public / private partnership which will reach out to the community to offer important summer programs for kids and adults alike.
