Down a paisley carpeted staircase, this surprisingly large basement SoFa hang-out immerses customers in sports with about a dozen wide-screens and surround sound. Famed for their Philly Cheesesteaks, the sandwiches are excessive and delicious with peppery steak bits beneath a heavy blanket of melted white American cheese and grilled onions in a crisp bun. Behind the staircase is a DJ accessible dance floor and a back room with a pool table and dartboard. The decor includes a Pelé jersey, a pair of huge white shoes that belonged to Chris Webber and an amusing mural of Barry Bonds that somehow escaped a repainting.

Finding the stairs leading down to the place can be tricky. One easy way to find the place is to listen. Yelling, pleading, cursing and laughing emanate from the Blue Chip. Sports fans here aren't afraid to voice their feelings.
