Stewart & Soss, a real estate and mortgage company based in the Willow Glen area of  San Jose, was founded with a simple idea in mind: to make real estate transactions more enjoyable for buyers, sellers and borrowers while ensuring the highest quality job is done. By following three key principles we have been able to achieve this vision.

First, there are many popular expressions in real estate. While most sayings are more humorous than true, we take two of them very seriously: ‘time is of the essence’ and ‘time is money’. We are diligent about delivering results expeditiously to our clients. We accomplish this objective by always keeping in constant contact with our clients and third parties and making certain that information is consistently flowing from one party to the other. This is so very important because we know that even just one day without communication can mean the difference between selling a clients home and missing out on a potential buyer; helping a client acquire the home of their dreams and letting slip away; or getting a client a rate on a loan of 5.000% vs. 5.750%.

Secondly, we know that in most industries errors and sloppy work can have dire consequences but this is especially true in real estate. So, while we ensure that we produce timely results, we are extremely cautious about the content of every document that we submit on behalf of our clients. By being detailed oriented, we save our clients time and from headaches by not having to resolve issues that arise from having made mistakes. As cliché as it sounds, we are a company that makes certain that every ‘i’ is dotted and every ‘t’ crossed. And we also demand the same level of quality from our third party partners such as lenders, appraisers, inspectors and escrow companies.

Lastly and most importantly, we are always straight forward with our clients. By being truthful, our clients know that we are working in their best interest even if that means that we do not make a sale. You should not have to learn that you should always be doing what is right for your client and their situation, it is a given!

Our corporate motto is a summation of these three principles:

By adhering to our corporate motto, we have been able to expand our business and client base significantly since inception. To put it simply, our clients refer us to their friends and family because we do a terrific job for them and make certain that they are thrilled at the end of the day.
