The human body was meant to move. The art of dance is an affirmation of this imperative. This weekend, sjDANCEco's annual Spring Dance Festival brings together more than 60 local dance organizations in a mass celebration of our collective kinetic potential. Performers will demonstrate a variety of forms--jazz, modern, tap, hula, hip-hop and beyond. The public is invited to attend this free demonstration of the power of dance, of whipping limbs and muscles twitching to the beat. Performers of all levels will be featured over the course of the day, while a spotlight from noon to 1pm focuses on professionals.
