Winter Solstice concert for Light & Peace

KRISTIN HOFFMANN with flutist Larry Kassin

and the One Heart Choir, directed by Claire Victor

On Sat, Dec 19 at 8PM, we close out our concert year with a special Winter Solstice Concert for Light and Peace featuring the amazing voice and songs of Bella Gaia’s vocalist, Kristin Hoffmann, accompanied by flutist Larry Kassin and The One Heart Choir, directed by Claire Victor.   Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door.

With a gorgeous, soaring voice that “makes her audience look inward and go to places they would not normally go” Kristin Hoffmann combines illuminating, spiritual songwriting with an incredible voice and musicality that “will captivate your heart and draw you into a musical journey” –Infinite Shift

“Hoffmann is a talented singer with a great voice whose work marries Stevie Nicks with Fiona Apple.” –Village Voice

The ethereal renaissance pop songstress and Juilliard trained multi-instrumentalist has built a prolific and varied career that includes major label releases. Her music has been heard on hit TV shows like Dawson’s Creek, The Young and the Restless and Palmetto Pointe and she has shared stages with The Wallflowers, Feist, Brandi Carlile and many other musical luminaries.

Kristin’s music goes well beyond entertainment, featuring elements of spirituality, healing & growth, whether inward (personal) or environmental.  It is with that in mind that she has been a spokesperson for ocean conservation, performing her Song for the Ocean on stages around the world. In 2011 she became the singer for Bella Gaia, a multimedia immersive theater experience created in conjunction with NASA, performing in Europe, Japan and South America.  With her seemingly unlimited and varied vocal range and musical tastes, her soulful, bluesy side comes out in memorable versions of songs such as Sam Cooke’s “Change Is Gonna Come” and Joni Mitchell tunes such as Blue and River.

Recent work includes a symphonic piece written for her by the Italian composer Marco Missinato called Unfolding Secrets: A Symphony of the Heart.  She was also selected by Gandi’s BE Magazine as “artist for peace.”

Tonight she teams up with The One Heart Choir and flutist Larry Kassin to present a holiday/solstice concert like no other.  Prepared to be dazzled & transported.
