Description
The top seed in the National Conference for almost the entire season has been the dominant San Jose Sabercats (17-1). Tying the record for regular season wins, the SaberCats are locked in heading into a first-round matchup with the fourth seed Portland Thunder (5-13). In the AFL from 1995 to 2008 the SaberCats made four Championship game appearances capturing three ArenaBowl titles, won eight division crowns and qualified for the playoffs 12 times, including the final nine seasons. The team had the best record in the AFL from 2000 to 2008.
