About
The San Francisco Artist Network Mission is to • heighten awareness and understanding of the visual arts, through education, outreach, and service to visual artists • encourage and provide resources for the professional development of visual artists • build a community of artists to stimulate respectful, authentic dialog and encourage exploration of art • promote public awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in the city of San Francisco.
SFAN strives to support the making of quality art in all media, to provide a nurturing environment for artists’ professional development, to connect artists with potential exhibition opportunities and increased income, and to advocate local, national and international recognition.
San Francisco Artist Network Programs: • Professional Development for Artists lectures • Business of Art lectures • Artist open critique sessions • Working artist demonstrations • Professional artist studio visits.
SFAN events are held a the North of Market/Tenderloin Community Benefit District Center at 134 Golden Gate Avenue, between Leavenworth Street and Jones Street, conveniently located only two blocks from the Civic Center BART & MUNI station on Market Street in the heart of San Francisco.
