Sabrina Gabel, Ph.D. “Dr. Suj” is a licensed psychologist and the director of seesaw. She earned her B.A in psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Her subsequent masters level work in clinical neuropsychology was at the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her doctorate in counseling, clinical, and school psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her pre-doctoral/post-doctoral training experiences include a child development clinic (Oregon Health and Science University), an early childhood autism assessment clinic, and a neuropsychiatric rehabilitation hospital. She has also worked as a school psychologist in the SF bay area as well as other urban and suburban school districts.

In her private practice, Dr. Gabel works with children, adolescents and families providing therapy, assessment, and consultation. She has developed a unique friendship skills program at seesaw called Be Friends. Her expertise includes social emotional development, autism spectrum and pdd, anxiety disorders, and grief and loss. She has co-authored research publications and book chapters on strength-based assessment, youth risk and resilience, aggression and bullying, and culturally competent services for ethnic linguistic minorities and LGBT clients.
