I am a licensed psychotherapist with 30 years of experience helping women, men, and adolescents struggling with disordered eating and body image issues.

I offer individual, group, and couple therapy. In our work together you will learn to:

*Identify and respond to your body's natural hunger and satiety signals

*Set healthy boundaries

*Express emotions, rather than bingeing, purging or restricting food

I will help you addresses emotional issues that fuel your disordered eating, while helping you understand the function of food and weight in your life, as you develop more effective ways of dealing with life’s challenges.

In my work with clients suffering with binge eating and bulimia, I view disordered eating as the arrow pointing us to the issues in your life that you have been avoiding by focusing you energy on food and weight.

We will also explore how food can medicate anxiety and depression.

I am very passionate about my work. Having suffered with an eating disorder myself, I bring insight and understanding from that experience which helps me in my work with clients. My therapeutic style is interactive, sensitive and compassionate.

Group:

I am starting a new group, and will try to accommodate the scheduling needs of new group members.
