Quetzalcoatl is the Feathered Serpent and is pronounced as: ketso-co-ottle and is one of the major deities of the Aztec, Toltecs, and other Middle American peoples.

Quetzalcoatl Tattoo is proudly located in San Francisco’s Mission district. At 23rd and Valencia. Or shop is owned and operated by Luis Contreras.  Luis has over 15 years experience tattooing and is devoted to art and the creative process.

Our goal at Quetzalcoatl Tattoo is to bring meaningful tattoos to life. This can vary from a portrait of a family member, something that represents a moment in your life, an image you find beautiful or even just makes you laugh.  We will work with you to cultivate your vision.  Our shop specializes in custom tattoos, black and white, color, fine line, portrait, Aztec, Mayan, Tribal, lettering and cover-ups. While the majority of our work is custom work – where the artist works directly with a client on an idea, we also have design books to get you started on your first or next tattoo.  You can bring in your own artwork as reference or choose from our in shop designs. If you have an idea in your head, we can help you get it on to skin. We want you to enjoy your tattoos for a lifetime and have a great experience.
