Lunatic chic is their shtick, but with an ever-multiplying variety of toppings and even specially designed tools for making donut shapes once considered impossible--not to mention the world's most delicious fritter--Psycho Donuts has come as close to re-inventing the donut as anyone short of Homor Simpson could dare to imagine. There's nothing crazy about that.

When the Psycho Donuts kingpins told us they'd love to host some live music, we took a look around. Video screen. Check. Padded cell. Check. Sexy nurse. Check. Now that's rock & roll! They've delivered on their word, and we're digging it. It's like AC/DC sang: If you want donuts, you got it. (SP)

Break down the name, and it's easy to see what's behind Psycho Donuts' success. The first part is what turns heads, gets the buzz and sets the tone. But it's the second part that really matters. The zany shtick is fun, but when it comes down to it, these are great donuts. The twisted minds behind this shop are always experimenting, pushing ahead with new toppings and creations. Will anything ever top the apricot fritter or the green tea/dark chocolate topped variety? Maybe not, but delicious new candidates are being added all the time.
