Description
Paul Kikuchi - percussionist, composer, and instrument maker from Seattle - is a member of the band, The Empty Cage Quartet. The band has been consistently praised by critics as one of the most interesting and original new jazz groups to emerge from the west coast. For more than eight years the group has explored new ways to integrate a diverse mix of musical influences, utilizing a unique system that blurs the lines between composition and improvisation.The Montalvo Arts Center Final Fridays series, which marked its year anniversary in July, has brought hundreds of visitors to Montalvo for an inside peek at Montalvo's Lucas Artists Residency Program. All events take place on the last Friday of the month at 6pm and are free and open to the public and include a no-host bar.
