4.5 Earthquake Strikes Monterey County

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck 45 miles southeast of San Jose in Monterey County early this morning. It was the second earthquake in less than a week to hit the region. On Saturday, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred east of San Jose. There was no reported damage or injury from this morning’s quake.

In its suit, MACSA indicated that several other high ranking staff members could also be sued for financial improprieties. One possibility is former COO Xavier Campos, who has since been elected to City Council.
