A San Jose man suspected of fatally stabbing another man before fleeing the area is currently in a Santa Barbara County hospital. Police said the suspect either fell or jumped off a highway overpass.

The victim of a stabbing in San Jose earlier this week succumbed to his injuries Thursday night, and a man who is in a hospital after falling or jumping from a highway overpass in Santa Barbara County on Wednesday is a suspect in the murder, police said today.
