About
OPC Music offeres two main programs for children and youth ages 7 to 17 years, along with many opportunities for special weekend workshops and private study for all ages. Music Preparatory Studies is the after school program (4pm to 6pm) that teaches basic music theory and provides a wide range of instruments for students to try and even take home for practice. The Summer Music Academy offers three 2-weeks sessions, each Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. The curriculum is multicultural and multi-disciplinary, including Tai Chi or yoga, visual art instruction, vocal and instrumental hands-on learning, ensembles and weekly field trips. Music acts as a gateway for learning cultural heritage and life principles like respect, perseverance and reciprocity in all the activities offered.
