North Bay Fiction Writers Workshop

The North Bay Fiction Writers Workshop is based in central Santa Rosa. We are committed writers who meet every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9:30pm with a focus toward publication. We discuss both the creative and business parts of writing. A portion of every meeting is dedicated to critique of each members work-in-progress. Our focused weekly topics center on aspects of writing such as "How to write great hooks" and "Building characters." The two and half hour workshops are structured fluidly to allow each writer the opportunity to focus on a topic of interest to them such as: feedback on our writing, how to write a query letter, submission formatting, how to contact publications, how to make money while writing your novel etc. We frequently do writing exercises in the group. At each meeting, we set and follow up our goals. Members make a commitment to attend the group regularly. We meet every Thursday from 7-9:30 pm in central Santa Rosa with easy access from 101.
