The Residence Cultural Arts Center presents, NO ORDINARY ENCOUNTER, collaborative PAINTINGS by MCKENZIE TATE EARLEY and JAMES OLIVER JONES JR.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 20, 2014) – On Saturday, November 1st, 2014 The Residence will present its inaugural event showcasing new and recent works by Mckenzie Tate Earley and James Oliver Jones Jr. from an ongoing collaborative effort entitled No Ordinary Encounter. There will also be a live music performance by California Raga Association. Join in good company from 5 pm – midnight. The duration of the exhibition is November 1st – 22nd. If someone wishes to view the artworks after the opening event on the 1st, they can call (707) 207-9301 to arrange a casual appointment.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

MCKENZIE TATE EARLEY

Mckenzie Tate Earley expresses and shares her appreciation of color, form, and dance, which she applies to all of her artistic endeavors. She is particularly interested in experimenting with innovative art forms and finds great pleasure in translating emotions and messages into brushstrokes. Her artistic nature is complimented by her unquenchable desire to learn more about herself, others, and cultures from around the world.

JAMES OLIVER JONES JR.

James Oliver Jones Jr. is an artist who has spent the last 45 years of his life on a journey called understanding. He has actively participated in the application of art and offered his witness through that same art to address many social disorders. He brings attention to the joy he has found in transforming the status quo and sharing smiles with peoples of many different cultures. He has used many art forms and therefore he is considered to be a multi-media expressionist. His voyage through art has been documented through one-man, group, or collaborative shows in Paris-Rome-Milano-Berlin-Las Palmas, Gran Canaria-New York City-Tokyo-Hong Kong-Singapore and Bali, Indonesia. He has also expressed himself through music, literature, and photography.

ABOUT THE RESIDENCE CULTURAL ARTS CENTER:

The goal of The Residence Cultural Arts Center is to establish an alternative forum for art. It offers a comfortable viewing space of visual art. It also provides a showcasing for musical exploration. Last but not least, it extends itself to the literary community with a lecture series and poetic readings.
