The Metal Arts Guild of San Francisco and the Bay Area in conjunction with Lireille Gallery of Contemporary Jewelry and Art in Oakland is pleased to present NEXUS, the Guild’s annual themed exhibition. The presentation features artwork by a large group of accomplished metalsmith artists including Alison Antelman, Julie Jacobs, Fran Grinels, Jenny Reeves, Julia Efimova, Cynthia Clearwater, Aimee Golant, Elaine Gerber, Mona Clee, emiko oye and more. November 5 reception from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.STATEMENT:
Relationships in today’s world are no longer defined by traditional conventions. We forge, link, solder, kink and merge our individual selves into units that defy standard definition. For the 2010 Metal Arts Guild All-Member Exhibition, members have been invited to create jewelry as well as sculptural and conceptual works that explore the boundaries and diversity of relationships, connections, and commitment. We invite you to come and visit Lireille, Gallery of Contemporary Jewelry and Art in Oakland, dedicated to promoting the awareness and availability of art jewelry from emerging and nationally-acclaimed artists.
