I’m Dreaming of a Wet Christmas

Two incoming storms about to pound the Bay Area could leave 10 inches of rain in their wake. The storm center has gathered in the Gulf of Alaska and is gradually making its way down the coast, picking up water in the unusually warm air as it descends toward the Bay Area. With flooding in sensitive areas a distinct possibility, authorities are preparing to hand out sandbags and cautioning everyone to clean out their gutters before the storm strikes.

As far as shopping experiences go, one could do worse than the Stanford Shopping Center. As least shoppers are not trapped inside the climate-controlled atmosphere of the typical mall and can walk from store to store in the fresh air. As a higher-rent shopping experience, the food is on a higher level as well. Topping my list is Tootsie’s.
