Description
To open the show Igor Stravinsky's Pucinella Suite, originally written as an amusingly, witty ballet. Then what follows is a piano lover's euphoria...Bay Area native pianist Jon Nakamatsu will perform two featured works on the program beginning with Cape Cod Concerto for Clarinet, Piano and Orchestra. It will be the world premiere for this piece, which was written specifically for Nakamatsu and clarinetist Jon Manasse by Cuban composer D'Rivera. Nakamatsu will also be playing Piotr Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, one of the most popular works ever composed for the piano.
