This weekend, Mountain View is the place to go for authentic Oktoberfest food, beer and music. But be advised: "No Segways." Because Silicon Valley. But with a wide variety of German suds and sausages being served up by Steins Beer Garden, Tied House and Teske's Germania, you should be able to have fun--even if you do have to rely on that oh-so-20th-century mode of transportation known as walking. They'll be serving up bratwurst, knockwurst, goulash and pretzels; brew by Weltenburger Kloster, Hofbrauhaus Munchen, Spaten and more; plus live performances by the Joe Smiell Band and the San Francisco German Band, among others. And be sure to tell your kids to prepare for the pretzel eating contest and to make sure you hit the gym before competing in the stein-holding contest.
