Description

It's been too long since the Granny Smith room was host to the sounds of poetry -- a problem we're remedying by bringing you not one but two wonderful poets on November 11th: Melissa Stein, reading from her book Rough Honey, and Ada Limón, reading from her collection, Sharks in the Rivers.

Melissa Stein's debut collection of poetry, Rough Honey, is a startling, sensuous collection that examines the deep sources of art. This collection recently won the APR/Honickman Prize, and her poems have appeared in leading literary journals and anthologies such as Best New Poets 2009, New England Review, and The American Poetry Review.

Ada Limón will be reading from her latest book of poetry, Sharks in the Rivers. Originally hailing from Sonoma, her first collection of poetry, Lucky Wreck (Autumn House Press, 2006), was the winner of the 2005 Autumn House Poetry Prize. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, the Harvard Review, and Pleiades.
