What: Newly appointed FCI Dean Chef David Kinch will host an Open House at The French Culinary Institute (The FCI) of California on Saturday, June 18 at 11:00 am. Following an exclusive meet and greet with David Kinch, attendees will learn about The FCI�s career and wine programs, take a tour of the kitchens and meet the acclaimed Chef-Instructors. Representatives from The FCI will be on hand to answer questions related to financial aid, job placement services and student life.Why: A recipient of the Best Chefs in America award for the Pacific region in 2010 from the James Beard Foundation and awarded two Michelin stars for five consecutive years, David Kinch is creating a legacy in the advancement of California cuisine in the 21st century. By sustainably producing his own vegetables and partnering with Cynthia Sandberg of Love Apple Farms, he is creating a closed circle among guests, the garden and his highly personal cuisine. He is the executive chef and proprietor of Manresa in Los Gatos, California and was most recently named a Dean at The FCI.
