Kelly McCown is a principal with McCown & Evans LLP, a 50% lesbian-owned immigration law firm that focuses on employment-based visas, labor certification, employment-based permanent residence applications, naturalization, and counseling same-sex families. She is a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and has received the highest possible rating (“AV”) for legal ability. Ms. McCown is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of BALIF, an LGBT bar association, and was named a 2005 and 2006 "Northern California Super Lawyer" by San Francisco Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine. She is a member and past Chair of the Executive Board of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Northern California chapter, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Immigration Law Foundation. Ms. McCown graduated from Stanford University and Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley.
