Description
A day of commemoration and celebration in honor of the greatest generation and the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII. Guests are invited to come out for an inspirational, educational and historic day to honor the legacy of our WWII generation. The whole family is invited to a WWII reunion, Victory Parade at 1pm, live music by the Singing Blue Stars and The Swing Solution, and a swing dance contest.WWII re-enactors and vehicles, children's activities and much more. There will also be a chance to ride a 1924 electric trolley. During the victory parade, a stage re-enactment of the end of war celebrations will be recreated. A WWII aerial fly-by is scheduled for later in the afternoon. Veterans will have the chance to share their memories of the war with younger generations.
Nearby San Jose City Parking is $6, and admission to the event is free. Free shuttles from the parking lot to the main entrance will be also available.
