Gonstead Technique
The Gonstead Technique is a method of analysis and correction of spinal misalignments, referred to in chiropractic as subluxations. The Gonstead doctor utilizes visualization, instrumentation, static palpation, motion palpation, and x-ray analysis to determine how best to make an adjustment. The adjustment, done by hand, is as specific as possible, addressing only the subluxation. The intent is to restore normal function to the vertebrae, removing nerve interference, alleviating symptoms, and allowing the body to regain health. Because of the specificity, results are generally achieved more quickly and with fewer treatments than other techniques.
