Kaisahan of San Jose Dance Company promotes a cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of Filipino culture and both its relation within and outside of the San Jose community. Each performance attempts to instill a deep appreciation for and understanding of the Filipino cultural heritage among its audiences and performers. By educating as it entertains, Kaisahan fosters unity and harmony in the communities it touches. Its mission is accomplished by preserving and performing authentic Filipino dances; providing classes for the youth and adults of all ethnic backgrounds in traditional Filipino dance and music; and even providing lectures, demonstrations and performances for festivals and community event.
