I’m a customer service oriented building designer and AutoCAD expert that offers design and construction documentation services for residential and commercial projects. Whether you want to remodel your existing residence, design a new home or are in need of tenant improvements for a retail space; I can assist you.  I can manage your project throughout all phases of development including design, contract documentation, permitting and construction management in a personalized, efficient and economic manner.

I have a strong understanding of how to coordinate the consulting disciplines and extensive experience working through the permitting process while possessing the ability to provide construction administration and management services as well. I have a varied work history ranging from high tech industry corporate headquarters, general healthcare/OSHPD construction and assisting in the master planning resorts to high end interiors, commercial tenant improvements and residential wood frame construction.

I have completed a number of residential projects throughout The Bay area and have good rapport with folks at various town halls and the county offices.  I can help develop ideas and visions into clear, concise and thorough documentation for permit and construction.  I have strong, practical knowledge of building codes and local ordinances and the aptitude to foresee the potential in a property as well as the prospective challenges in getting there.  I can focus on the bigger picture while being aware of and attentive to code compliance issues in a short, but very productive consultative walk-thru.

You may have found that most design professionals, architects and firms charge based on a percent of construction costs, but I generally develop lump sum fee proposals based on time and materials and typically come in around half the price of other professionals and often even less.  I can comfortably suggest to you that a quality designer such as myself can SAVE you more than their fees in construction costs alone.  I bring a sensitivity, sensibility and understanding of the construction process to my design approach accounting for design criteria without sacrificing quality.

I have over 17 years experience designing and assembling construction and facilities documentation with the latest versions of AutoCAD®.  The depth of my understanding of the design and construction process is broad and I am familiar with the development and coordination of nearly every aspect of a construction project.

My work experience and environments are intentionally diverse.  The settings in which I've become accustomed have ranged from small architectural design offices to large corporations; I am comfortable conducting business in both, though I am also well suited for the field.  I'm a consummate team player, but "wear many hats" if that’s what it takes to get the job done right and on schedule.  I am detail oriented, highly motivated, personable and take pride in whatever I do.

Currently I’m operating a small firm as a sole practitioner and have worked in consulting or contractual relationships as a team member or independent resource for a number of designers and firms in various capacities for well over a decade. My clients range from commercial developers, architects/engineers and contractors to individual property owners.  I maintain a flexible schedule that allows for pursuit of new opportunities while being attentive to my clientele base.
