The very name is derived from the classic social drink of the 1920's called - The Jack Rose. A libation so popular it was enjoyed by the likes of Hemmingway and Steinbeck - who at one time lived stumbling distance from the loaction the bar now resides and even the great George Washington who once requested the recipe from the creator of Laird's Applejack Brandy.
